A Day of Rides, Food, Laughter and Firsts at the L.A. County Fair

LA County Fair Visit Creates Lasting Memories for Easterseals Southern California Adult Day Services Participants.

The county fair has long been a summertime tradition—the sights, sounds, smells and unmistakable energy of blue-ribbon competitions, dizzying rides and prize-filled carnival games.

“Visiting the L.A. County Fair was such a special day for our participants in the Glendora Community Adult Day Services program,” said Maria Vega, Director II, Adult Day Services, Easterseals Southern California. “It was so much fun!”

For some, it was their very first time at the fair—taking in all the sights, hopping on rides, meeting the animals, trying classic fair food and just soaking up all the excitement.

“You could really see the joy all day long,” Vega said, “with everyone laughing, spending time together, making connections … even making a few new friends! It ended up being such a meaningful experience—one that created lasting memories and really captured the sense of community and inclusion that’s at the heart of what we do at Easterseals.”
