Easterseals Joins the 2025 Rollettes Experience

A Weekend Celebrating Dance, Community, and Empowerment

This July, more than 300 people with disabilities from across the globe came together in Los Angeles for the Rollettes Experience 2025. The weekend pulsed with energy—filled with dance, new friendships, and unforgettable moments of community. Easterseals Southern California was happy to be included as a Diamond Sponsor, participating in several workshops and connecting with attendees at their interactive booth.

What is the Rollettes Experience? 

The Rollettes Experience is a one-of-a-kind event, bringing together hundreds of women, men and children who use wheelchairs for several days of dance lessons, educational workshops, panels, mixers, art classes, and most importantly, community. 

This empowering event is the brainchild of the Rollettes Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting the disability community through education, supportive programs, and meaningful gatherings. 

Rollettes CEO Chelsie Hill, who became disabled in a drunk driving accident, says, “I had no idea what it was like to live a life with a disability and I needed community more than anything. Growing up, I was a competitive dancer. The dance community was all I really knew. So that’s how the idea of all of this started. Today, Rollettes Foundation provides dance education, helpful resources and community groups.”

Easterseals Southern California was honored to participate in the event as a Diamond Sponsor. Our team hosted a bustling resource table and led a series of powerful workshops and panels featuring staff and Adult Day Services program participants. Among the highlights were:

  • “Lead the Change: Disability Rights and How to Advocate for Yourself” with Easterseals participants Betty Partida and Lora Glassman
  • “Lead the Change: Disability Rights & National Advocacy” with participant Preeti Subramaniam

Participants shared their personal stories and experiences, helping others feel confident to speak up and support their communities.

Easterseals appreciated the opportunity to join forces with the Rollettes, amplifying the voices of the disability community and sharing in the mission of the Rollettes Experience—a celebration of resilience, creativity, and the power of collective action.
