Sensory-Friendly Santa Visits Easterseals Autism Therapy Services

This holiday season, something truly magical happened at our Autism Therapy Services center in Valencia, where a sensory-friendly Santa visited—an experience that kids and families won't soon forget.

An Inclusive Santa Experience

For many kids on the autism spectrum, visiting Santa at a busy mall can be overwhelming, and sometimes impossible. So Easterseals brought Santa to them!

Professional Santa John "Beef" Evans, who is the dad of Gigi Evans, a speech and language pathologist in Valencia, volunteered to visit Valencia for the day. Associates at the site were able to create a calm, organized, and inclusive celebration totally tailored to the kids and families we support.

Creating Holiday Magic!

Santa met with around 45 families, and each child had a personalized notecard so Santa could learn about them and their holiday wishes. Some kids communicated through technology devices, others were nonverbal, but Santa found a way to connect with every single child.

This event wasn’t just about holiday fun, it was about making the world feel more inclusive. Every child deserves the magic of a Santa visit and associates at Valencia made it happen—Because holiday magic is most powerful when it’s made for everyone!
