Jessica B. Miller, Ed.D., CCC-SLP, is Sr. Vice President, Provider Networks, Autism Therapy Services, for Easterseals Southern California (ESSC), which serves more than 27,000 individuals and their families with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
In this role, she supports approximately 100 providers within ESSC’s Provider Network who deliver speech, occupational and physical therapy services, as well as 21 providers who offer applied behavior analysis (ABA) services. The networks operate collectively to support individuals with autism and developmental disabilities across Southern California,
Miller joined ESSC in 2013, beginning as the Clinical Standards Director for Speech Pathology, moving to Director of the Therapy Provider Network, Director of Therapy Services and VP of Therapy Services, before assuming her current role in 2025.
Prior to relocating to California from Philadelphia, Miller earned a bachelor’s degree in communicative disorders from Wester Chester University, followed by a master’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from LaSalle University.
She began her career in San Diego where she completed her clinical fellowship as a speech language pathologist in the public school system. When starting her career Miller also worked with home health patients in the evenings, providing services to stroke patients, individuals with varying degrees of dysphagia, Parkinson’s and a variety of other disorders.
Later, Miller transitioned to a private clinic, focusing on providing pediatric services with an emphasis on autism and early intervention. During her time in the private clinic, she supervised its satellite clinic.
Miller went back to earn a doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University in 2022, successfully defending her dissertation, A Delphi Study of the Skills Necessary for a Speech Language Pathologist or Occupational therapist to be Successful in a Leadership Position.
