Uniting People Through the Power of Sport

Easterseals Southern California is partnering with teams across SoCal to raise awareness, increase inclusion and celebrate disability pride. From game-day experiences and community events, to season-long programs, these collaborations create unforgettable moments of joy, pride, and visibility for both the teams, and the adults, children and families we serve. Together, we’re turning passion into purpose.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

Easterseals Southern California is the Official Disability Inclusion Partner of Angels Baseball. Our partnership began in 2019.

Collaborations:

  • Disability Pride Month Celebration at Angel Stadium (2025): An amazing event featuring a welcome booth on the front plaza, CVS tailgate under the Big A, and on-field participation from Adult Day and Autism Services participants
  • Easterseals Southern California Strides for Disability 5K/3K: Hosted at Angel Stadium in 2025 — one of the most successful Strides events to date.
  • Sensory Room Collaboration: ESSC staff consulted on the design of a calming, sensory-friendly space for fans.
  • Player Engagement: LA Angels Strike Force and player Bryce Teodosio visited the Pyott Center, connecting with Adult Day Services participants and supporting Strides.
  • Back 2 School Event (July 2025): 50 Easterseals Southern California children attended the stadium experience with music, photo ops, and Angels-branded school gear.
  • Holiday Event (December 2025): 50 Easterseals Southern California children participated in the Angels’ Kids Holiday Party, receiving gifts, pajamas, and toys.
  • Angels support for the Easterseals Southern California annual Walk on Water autism surfing experience
  • In-stadium tours for Adult Day Services participants

Los Angeles Chargers

Easterseals Southern California has been a proud partner of the Los Angeles Chargers since 2024, and became the Presenting Partner of the Chargers Pup Program (Zeus) in 2025.

  • Community engagement: Former Los Angeles Chargers Cornerback Essang Bassey joined Easterseals Southern California families at our Autism Therapy Center Holiday Open House in Irvine, raising awareness of ASD.
  • Game-day experience: Easterseals Southern California community members attended Sunday Night Football at SoFi Stadium and met former LA Chargers Tight End, Pro Football Hall of Famer Antonio Gates.
  • Chargers Pup Program: Easterseals Southern California is the official supporter of this initiative, helping train a service dog to be gifted to a person with a disability.

Easterseals Southern California has been a proud partner of the Los Angeles Lakers since 2023.

  • "Easterseals Night" at Crypto.com Arena: Featuring Easterseals Southern California honorary team captains, game ball delivered by participants, and PSA videos on the scoreboard.
  • Easterseals Southern California associates, participants, and representatives attend games and take to the court to raise awareness of Easterseals Southern California and Disability Pride
  • Easterseals participates in the Lakers' annual "Season of Giving" holiday parties for kids.

Anaheim Ducks

Easterseals Southern California has been the Official Disability Inclusion Partner of the Anaheim Ducks since 2024.

  • Over 300 associates and participants attended
  • Community Spotlight on the ice
  • Autism Services graduates featured in DJ booth and Zamboni ride
  • Easterseals Southern California logo and inclusion messaging displayed throughout Honda Center.
  • Presenting sponsor of the San Diego Ducks Sled Hockey Team

Easterseals Southern California hosted the first Disability Hockey Jamboree at Great Park Ice (May 2025) Jamboree activities included:

  • Sled Hockey Clinic led by the San Diego Ducks Sled Hockey Team
  • Special Hockey Clinic led by coaches from The Rinks

San Diego Padres

After years of CVS/Easterseals Padres game nights, Easterseals Southern California was named an Official Disability Inclusion Partner of the San Diego Padres

Autism Acceptance Night (April 2025):

  • Celebrated inclusion, awareness, and acceptance
  • Ticket packages included a limited-edition hat and donation to Autism Services
  • Autism Services alumni delivered the game ball
  • Sensory-friendly ballpark experience (March 2025)
  • Families explored quiet spaces, sensory kits, and the Sensory Activation Vehicle
  • Simulated concessions experience to prepare for game day
