Ady’s Journey: Autism Behavior Therapy in Action

In this video, Ady's family shares the impactful story of how Easterseals Severe Behavior Services worked alongside them to address problem behaviors that kept Ady from living life to the fullest. 

Ady went from exhibiting escalating behaviors on a daily basis, to being able to thrive living at home with her family, which has made them stronger as a family unit.

Dr. Shaji Haq, Director of Severe Behavior Services at Easterseals, said, “What really stood out to be about this case in particular was the significant impact that Ady’s problem behavior had on the people around her. The family had to significantly alter their lifestyle. The family couldn’t work outside the home and they had really devoted their lives to Ady’s care.” 

After working with Easterseals Severe Behavior Services, Ady’s mom Mari said, “Her behaviors began to decrease until the moment came when they said ‘she’s overcome this, she no longer needs our services.’”
