The Autism Therapy Services Advisory Board is our link to members of the wider autism community.
Purpose
The Autism Therapy Services Advisory Board makes sure that the services Easterseals Southern California provide match with what people in the community need. It also gives community members a place to share their thoughts and ideas, and be part of the process.
Our vision is to build stronger connections with the autistic community and make sure we keep the conversation moving forward about how we can improve the support services offered.
The Board's Role
Activities for this Board may include:
Looking at current programs and giving feedback
Reviewing the words and forms we use
Sharing thoughts on staff training
Helping shape future projects
Talking about what matters most to the community
Who Can Join
The first advisory board was chosen through a nomination process, with a goal to ensure that the make-up of the board represented the diversity of Southern California. The board members meet on a quarterly basis. If you're interested in applying to be an advisory board member, you can contact project lead Emily Tierman.
Our Members
We are lucky to have these members on our board. Their personal experiences, knowledge, and expertise helps us grow and improve. We are excited to continue to work together on new ideas--like creating more support for parents of teens, and other topics.
